An accomplished free-lance writer regarding issues of Criminal Justice and Social Psychology. His manuscripts have been published in such popular law enforcement periodicals as Police Magazine and American Police Beat. These works are utilized in the police training libraries of the U.S. Department of Justice and the governments of Canada and Australia.
His education includes a Master’s Degree concentration in Psychology from Harvard University, including a two year research thesis. The research project “Age Differences in Face Recall” involved conceptualizing and designing an investigative inquiry into the reliability of eyewitness recall of children and adults. A copy of the finished work is located at Harvard University’s Emerson Library and on the internet at Google Scholar and Google Books.
David has attended a plethora of training courses including: Interview and Interrogation Techniques, Concepts of Adult Learning (MPD Adjunct Academy Instructor), Antiterrorism Bombing Instruction and Explosive Device Recognition Course at New Mexico Tech, Socorro, NM. Trained Active Shooter Response Squad Leader. AR15/M4 American Machine-Gun Qualified. Close Quarter Battle (CQB), Civil Disturbance Unit Squad Leader. (MPD CDU Special Weapons/Chemical Trained).
Currently holds a TS-SCI clearance with the US Defense Department Intelligence Community.
He wrote a children’s book “Luna: Always By Your Side”, to teach kids about the important role service dogs play for military and first responders suffering PTSD. He donated all rights and royalties to Thin Line Service Dogs ( https://thinlinesd.org ). David and his family are actively involved in their important mission in raising and training these beautiful animals for deserving public safety/military members who suffer trauma.
Additionally, he is crafting “Adverse Action: District Under Seige”, his first fiction crime novel due for publication in the fall of 2023.
